Sacred Heart Community Service wants to brighten the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays for low-income families that struggle to overcome poverty. If you share a belief in our vision with our staff, volunteers, donors and community partners, you can share a unique experience!

Holiday Volunteer Opportunities

Customer Registration : Help us register customers for our special holiday programs. Some registration tasks require computer skills. Some need Spanish-speaking volunteers.

Thursday Pantry Staging : Help us get as many individual canned goods sorted as possible! Great group project! Able to lift 30 - 40 pound crates of food.

Thanksgiving Food Program : : Help provide food boxes for over 3,300 holiday meals by sorting canned food; bagging beans, rice, and produce; assembling boxes; sorting clothing donations; and distributing them with a compassionate SMILE! Adult and youth volunteers welcome. Limited opportunities are available for volunteers under the age of 14. Volunteers under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

We are looking for musical groups to entertain the staff, volunteers, and customers on Nov 21st, Nov 22nd, and Nov 23rd. Got music? Create your own shift for entertainment!

Christmas Food Program : Help provide over 3,000 holiday meals. Adult volunteers welcome. Limited opportunities are available for volunteers under the age of 14. Volunteers under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Gracie’s Clothes Closet Annual Clear-out “ Sale” : Join our dedicated regular volunteers to distribute quality, warm, and individually selected clothing items to families, individuals, and homeless citizens. An amazing experience, if you can join us!

Christmas Toy Box : Volunteers 18 and over are invited to help during our Christmas Toy Box program. Volunteers will help set-up and assist pre-registered parents select toys for their children. Limited opportunities for those under the age of 18 are available during the Christmas Toy Box Program.

Warehouse Preparation for 2006 : Join our dedicated regular volunteers to re-assemble our pantry and clothes closet to provide quality products and service for the New Year! Amazing experience, if you can join us!
