Clothes
Closet
Mary, a single
mom working full time, came to us before the school year began. She
had exhausted much of her resources on rent, bills, and food and desperately
needed "back to school" clothing for her two children. The
majority of her income was going to pay rent and bills. She had very
little money to spend for other needs. At our Clothing Closet, she
was able to find free, good clean wearable clothing for her sons.
Did you know?
- Over 300 families a day come through our Clothes Closet to find
clothing for their family, a suit for an interview, a blanket
during the cold winter, or a pair of shoes for work.
- All of our clothing, bedding, and linens are donated through
the generosity of individual donors and over 35 schools, churches,
and agencies a year.
How you can help:
- New socks and underwear
- Blankets, towels, linens
- Men's clothing
- Plastic shopping bags
- Thick rubber bands to pair our donated shoes
