| Organize a Drive for Sacred Heart Community Service
Families have many challenges to face. If they have little money, those challenges can be overwhelming. We rely on the community to help us meet the needs of impoverished families. Running a drive is a great way to help these neighbors meet their needs.
Do you want to help us? Here’s how to make your drive successful:
- Collect one of these items
- Organize Your Group
- Use These Resources
- Publicize your drive
- Share Your Success
We would love to help you. Contact the Drive Coordinator at Sacred Heart with the type of drive you are doing, when you hope to bring your collection in, and what we can do to help. Just call (408) 278-2168 or email the drive coordinator.

Organize Your Group
- a drive can be a one-time event (for example, attendees at a high school football game each donate a pair socks as they enter the stadium), or an ongoing drive (employees see who can collect the most pop-top canned food items in a month). Drives can also be educational, for example, Girl Scouts learn about homelessness as they each collect and assemble the items for a Survival Sack.
- Establish a time frame and logistics for your drive.
Use These Resources
Use these logos and the tax receipt as part of your drive collaterals. Click to download the icons or the tax receipt.
Publicize Your Drive
- Publicize your event. Each drive item above is linked to flyers and brochures that you can download, print, and advertize in your community.
- Conduct your event.
- Keep the momentum going for your drive with incentives, challenges, and contests. Update participants on progress toward your goal. Consider tracking progress with a highly visible measuring tool, like a thermometer or gauge.
Tell us your plans. Call (408) 278-2168 or email the drive coordinator.
Want some more ideas?

Share your success!
- Celebrate your effort and recognize the difference your work has made in our community.
- Announce your accomplishment to your participants and donors (your community newspaper may be happy to print a photo of your event)
